More 70s Show fun

Advantages: Complete season, engaging, witty, funny
Disadvantages: Too much emphasis on story

As my other reviews of That 70s Show DVD box sets may have shown, if you have read them before, I am an avid fan of this sitcom, set in that grand decade of peace and free loving: the '70s. And season 5? Definitely one of the best. The Premise That 70s Show revolves mostly around a group of six friends living in the fictional town of Point Place, which is situated in Wisconsin (which is real, incidentally). This season takes place between 1978 and 1979, nearing the end of the decade. In its fifth year, That 70s Show is still going strong, and though - as I've mentioned in my review of the season four box set - much of the comedy is transposable, it still includes its 1970s look and feel and the jokes that will appeal to the veterans of the decades - fond mentions of Happy Days, the long-standing mystery of 'how many ...

Anthonys 70s disco workout

Advantages: you can have fun with it.
Disadvantages: could have picked better songs

Anthonys 70s disco workout. After reading all the views on how appauling it was i nearly didnt buy it, However i like to find out for myself as i noticed many views were not broken down or in detail. I also noticed many people seemed to be slamming it for being unprofessional so at 1.99 i wasnt worried if i lost my money. I am glad i did this. The dvd is broken into sections. When i first put the dvd on the first section i must say is lame. The music i would not class as 70s and i wanted to know where were the words! I watched closey and yes anthony does not give you much direction,however the moves arent that hard if you are flexiable and arent ashamed of jumping around. When we get onto the second section-- yeahhh the music is on. Not that high in the background but on and if you take this dvd light hearted- i bet you could have ...

Review of Anthony's 70s Disco Workout (DVD)

That '70s Feeling

Advantages: Well scripted and acted, funny, Laura Prepon
Disadvantages: Someone is bound to "Jump the Shark"...

a secret crush on Hyde, and Kelso loves Jackie and Laurie and anyone else he can get his hands on. Meanwhile Red’s lost his job and is just plain bitter. Bob and Midge are either fighting or “getting it on” and Kitty is Mom plus, like Marion Cunningham with a mean streak. ++Don’t Lie to Me++ Overt and covert references to Happy Days and its ilk abound, even down to the supposed location (suburban Wisconsin) and if you wanted to you could sit down and list a whole load of parallels: the cool lodger, the family unit, the two best buddies, it’s clear where they were coming from when this show was written. Elsewhere, the show is packed with all the '70s references and kitsch you could imagine, tie die, big collars, beads, big hair and lots of brown. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.
