That Peter Kay thing was the first series that peter kay produced and it launched his career and the more well known series 'Phoenix Nights'. On this dvd Peter Kay plays 15 characters!

Episodes include-

'In The Club'-
Its the talent trek final at the phoenix club, Bolton and Park Avenue are one of the acts. Characters include- Mark Parc, singer in 'Park Avenue'. Brian Potter, the money making club owner and Max & Paddy, the doormen. (This episode gave Peter Kay the idea for Phoenix Nights, a series thats 10 times as funny as this one, for more info read my other review on this)

The 2nd episode is set in the Apollo Bingo Hall. where staff problems make things difficult. This episode includes the best Peter Kay character of them all, Keith Lard. He is a fire safety officer that has an 'interest' in dogs.

'The Ice-Cream Man Cometh'-
This episode follows the life of Mr Softee, the ice-cream man (Peter Kay) who also runs another business. But will a new rival ice-cream man prove too much competition??

'The Arena'-
This is set around the Machester Arena. Characters include Utah the coach driver that likes western music and ends up being arrested. Some staff training as sercurity guards and a member of the St Johns Ambulance who is a volunteer.

'Leonard'-
(the weirdest episode on the DVD) It follows the life of the oldest paper boy in Bolton, Leonard who is going to the Bolton community awards to collect his trophy.

'Trouble At The Top'-
Marc Parc (from the 1st episode 'in the club') has split from Park Avenue and has formed a solo music career. But will the fact that his new single 'Christmas 2000' is going on release in christmas 1999 put the fans off. Or will people sympathise with the other half of Park Avenue (Sherrel Avenue) who also has a record contract?????

Extras-
Includes- Deleted Scenes, Trailers, Commentary from Peter Kay, Patrick McGuinness and Craig Cash. It also includes the pilot episode called-

'The Services'-
Its a normal day at the services, Bolton where paul, a DJ from Chorley FM has come to promote the new radio station and also the exitement of a special guest appearence. Characters include-
Utah, the coach driver. Matthew Kelly, who is technicaly an actor and Alan, who has started up a new company called the A.R.C (he doest like the RAC after they fired him)

Overall-
I would definately recommend this to ANYONE. It is the series that launched the more popular Phoenix Nights. If you have seen Phoenix nights or Max & Paddys Road To Nowhere then you definately like this. It cost around 13.99 in the shops and i think it is probably worth every penny.

Thank you for reading :)
