Advantages: Reasonable retro comedy Disadvantages: I prefer George and Mildred. Yes, really.
characters in this series are Tina and Brian Pillbeam, the Medford's next door neighbours. Tina is played by Anita Graham, who makes Tina a rather dumb blonde who speaks in a monotone about nothing in particular. She is quite funny at times, but can over-do things, which makes her best in small doses. I did like her husband though, who is played by Roland Curram in this first series. He is a bit of a wide-boy, always dabbling in this and that, and reminded me a bit of Del Trotter. It is a shame that this couple don't appear in later series.
I think my real problem with Terry and June is that it came after George and Mildred, which is one of my all-time favourite sitcoms. There is something about the way that Brian Murphy and Yootha Joyce work together which make them really funny - in my opinion at least - I know many don't agree! - and I ...
Red Dwarf series6.
This wonderfully funny and fantastically written show ran for eight series and almost had a film made, sadly not to be.
Starring;
Craig Charles - Dave Lister
Arnold J Rimmer - Chris Barrie
Cat - Danny John-Jules
Kryten - Robert Llewellyn
Holy was played by two people, Norman Lovett and later Hattie Hayridge. Although Norman did return later in the series.
Kristine Kochanski was also played by two people Clare Grogan and then later by Chloë Annett.
Kryten was initially played by David Ross but thankfully he did not stay in the role.
It had a simple premise, The Red Dwarf Mining ship has a radiation leak which kills all of the crew except Dave who is in Null space put there as a punishment for bringing a cat aboard the ship and then refusing to surrender it up to the captain.
He is ...
Advantages: Best of all series so far Disadvantages: Could do with more bonus material
A fantastic DVD box set. A really good series. i would say out of the 6 box sets this is definetly the funniest. Filled with sarcasm and whitty comedy but also very heartfelt at some points i would definetly say this is a comedy series with parts that most people would enjoy. I would say that i am a majoy fan of the scrubs series but i have also showed people 1 or 2 episodes of the series and they have also got hooked on this amazingly deep and funny series. I would say from young to old this is definetly a box set to have in your collection along with series 1 to 5. i just cant wait for series 7 to be released on dvd. Scrubs is an amazing program and i would recomend it to anyone. I would say the only thing i would recomend for future sets is more bonus materials like more outtakes.but all in all scrubs rocks and zach braff and others ...
