One may term this movie as one of the best classic movie every created in the history of Hollywood. Considering the era in which it was created and the amount or realistic graphics put in the movie, no doubt it attracted audiences from all around the world and got loads and loads of appreciation. The story begins with a garbage truck. Its late in the night and the truck is emptying itself and doing its daily work. All of a sudden, lightning and flashes start to appear. There's a big sudden flash of light and there he is, Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) completely naked, lol: He comes across a group of punk rockers, lead by a very young leader and kills them when they refuse his demand to give him their clothes.
Meanwhile, in another part of town, the lightning arcs again and future soldier Kyle Reese drops down to the pavement. Unlike the terminator, this man is a complete human and has emotions in him. Both characters are searching for a woman named Sarah Conner. Two unfortunate women with that name are killed by the terminator, before they meet the intended Sarah Conner (Linda Hamilton). She narrowly avoids death through the help of Reese. Up until now everything has been shown rather than spoken. But when Reese rescues Sarah he has to tell her (and us) that the reason all this is happening. the reason being SkyNet, a super computer, which will trigger a nuclear war in order to exterminate humanity. To complete its goal, SkyNet builds robots, aircraft and soldiers like the Terminator. In a last, desperate act, SkyNet,sends a Terminator back through time to ensure that John Conner is never born, by killing his mother, Sarah. This is done, because, John Conner, son of Sarrah Connor is the leader of rebbellions in the near future and provides resistance to SkyNet. Well, i term this movie as one of the must haves as it has the best action in its era.

This is one great movie - I thought it was a bit cheesy at first when it came out, but it's now one of my favourites.
Advantages: Uncommonly good storyline for an action film, super special effects, imaginative design, excellent value DVD Disadvantages: Many won't enjoy it for its occasionally-graphic violence
