Ten Years After - Goin' Home DVD

Advantages: Imaginative, very well filmed, creative, funny in places, unique
Disadvantages: Some elements can be hard to understand, madness, time travel, confusion

...Having first seen 12 Monkeys on an open matte VHS a few years ago i was very happy to see it make it's way to DVD. Starring Bruce Willis as the main character Cole, we learn from the first scene that 5 Billion people will die in the year 1996 after being exposed to an unknown virus, the survivors are left to dwell underground. Enter Bruce Willis as a convict living in an underground prison, he is chosen by the scientists as he appears to be a perfect candidate for the mission, a good memory, metally strong, and most of all, he has nothing to lose, they dangle the possibility of a pardon in front of him and he sets off on his mission. Along the way we see other stars such as Brad Pitt as a completely insane protester Jeffrey Goines, Madeline Stow as the Doctor Railly, and Christopher Plummer as goines father, an immeninant viroligist... Advantages: Brad Pitt
Disadvantages: bit of a wierd ending!!!

...I really like this film, I have it on dvd and video, watch it all the time. I think Brad pitt is really good in it and he has really good acting skills, so do the rest of the actors. I think the location was very good as I wish I was there in the sun! My favorite seen is the one where they first meet and its like love at first site!!!!!!!!!! I really liked this bit because it was sweet and the people were really nice to eachother!, I also think the bit where he gets killed is quite clever. The middle i found a bit boring at times as it was just alot of flirting and stuff but istill love it! I thought the endin could have beeen better coz i dint really get what was goin to happen after when brad pitt turned back into is original character! what if they find the fatehrs body and blame him! he wont even kow wots goin on!!!!... ...ive only watched this program twice once last nite and this morning on this dvd boxset that my friend lent me and with confidence i would say that im not goin to give him it back, only joking but im gona be making a trip tomorrow to the bank to buy this title because only after 2 odd episode im pretty much sure that i want to be able to say that i own this title this program is a awesome collection of very wel homoured sketches that can make you laff so hard your face is blue in my experience i would highly recommend this dvd to anyone over 15 as it contains some language inappropraite for young childen but tha still doesnt take away from its ability to entertaing...
