Advantages: Sucks you deeper as film progresses, action gradually increases. Disadvantages: Tails off slightly at the very end.
The film starts off with news footage taken from the time of the civil unrest in nigeria which show some quite disturbing images, the film them dips into a typical action film for a while before Bruce Willis and co. start their long hike with the refugees. As the film progesses the scenes get more graphic and the team get more attached to the african people. Fantastic for people who like action with a strong emotional hook in there too, it also raises ... ...over the top and theres lots, i mean lots of action towards the end. The acting is quite good for the most part of the film as each character underplays the role to a good extent until the very end when Bruce Willis needs to have his meaning pause covered in blood as the wounded hero. Despite this, still really good, and Monnica Bellucci proves something nice to look at, as well as being the soft side to teh hardened Bruce Willis. ...

Advantages: Teaches a lesson not to take things for granted...it could always be worse Disadvantages: sometimes a little confusing.
Bruce Willis finds himself in an awkward situation when he is sent with his team of Navy Seals to retrieve an american doctor from deep in the heart of Nigeria before the guerillas bombard their camp destroying everything that moves. When Dr Kendricks refuses to leave with out her people Lt. A.K. Waters (willis) makes a life-threatening decision to guide Dr. Kendricks and her people through the Nigerian forest to cameroon where they will be safe. ... ...off his brilliant acting abilities in this superb film. The horrific reality of the film is astounding and shows you what really happens in the less fortunate parts of Africa and what terrible things humans can do to each other. It is definitley an eye opener to the disturbing things people suffer. It is a brilliant DVD and definitley worth watching. ...

Advantages: nailbiting drama. Disadvantages: sometimes to gory for specific audiences.
I think that Bruce Willis is a great actor in this film, I have this film myself and it is great, if you are into war movies and action movies then this is your film. There are some disturbing scenes but that is nothing compared to the great graphical scened of Bruce Willis and the way the film is directed.
The other actors in this film are also magnificant but as per usual Bruce Willis stands out ten times better. It is action packed with non-stop ...

Plot: Lt. A.K. Waters and his elite team of Navy SEALS have their work cut out for them when they are dispatched to war-torn Nigeria with orders to rescue an American citizen, Dr. Lena Kendricks. The mission is pretty cut and dry except for one glitch: Dr. Kendricks will have to abandon the natives to whom she has been providing healthcare and those that work in the mission where her rudimentary hospital is located. Of course, Dr. Kendricks refuses to leave without her people, forcing Lt. Waters to choose between completing his orders as directed or putting the lives of his men on the line by helping the refugees cross the border to Cameroon on foot. To complicate matters, the group is being pursued by militant guerillas who destroy everything in their path.

To complicate matters, the group is being pursued by militant guerillas who destroy everything in their path. Willis is in top DIE HARD form as Lt. Waters, a touch-as-nails military man who confronts his conscience and makes decisions that surprise even him as he finds himself influenced by the stubborn Dr. Kendricks. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY), this film offers an enlightening and disturbing look at the conditions that permeate war-torn countries.
