What Are You?......You're A Tarzan Of Course

Advantages: Fun Film and even more fun with the extras
Disadvantages: The songs were perhaps not as memorable as they could have been

I think it's families like mine that keep Disney in business. Let me explain, we have a collection of virtually every DVD that they've ever released, from the classic animations, to live action to the straight to DVD sequels. We don't always buy them when they're first released (in fact we very rarely do), but whenever there is a special offer, we try to fill in the gaps. The current offer of buy one get one free, persuaded us to buy four more for the collection, and one of those was Tarzan 2, which is fast becoming one of my favourites, and to be honest is possibly better than the original and definitely better than Tarzan and Jane. ---The Film--- If you've watched the original Tarzan, you'll probably remember a sequence where Tarzan swings and slides through the jungle, starting as a child and finishing as a man, and possibly ...

Review of Tarzan - Special Edition / Tarzan 2 (Animated) (DVD)

Me Tarzan You Jane

Advantages: loads of great extras on this one
Disadvantages: none

- one being the sequence where Tarzan rescues Jane - watch and see how the picture she has drawn of the monkey is tucked into her skirt at the start and end of the sequence but vanishes in the middle. Another is the scratch marks on Tarzan's face which he gets while fighting Sabor which mysterious heal up at the end of the fight None of this spoils the film though and I feel it helps to make it more endearing. The version we have is a region 1 so there may be some extras on this one that region 2 doesn't have. The region 2 equivelent is called the special edition and you can pick this up for around £15. I can't praise this film enough and I know my review can't possibly do it the justice it deserves so you'll just have to watch it for yourself and enjoy the experience of Disney music and animation at it's best. ...

Scarface ( Special Edition ) DVD

Advantages: Greatest film ever made
Disadvantages: Drug abusive scenes

Media: DVD - Action/Adventure Actors: Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Robert Loggia Director: Brian De Palma Format: PAL, Special Edition Language: English, Spanish Region: 2 Classification: 18 and over Studio: Universal Pictures UK Release Date: 9th December 1983 Running Time: 164 minutes Price: £3.18 Scarface is my all-time favorite film, Starring Al Pacino as gangland mobster Tony Montana. His rise from the rough streets of Cuba to the top of Miami's drug fuelled empire. Tony Montana wanted it all wealth, power and control, he was living this life, which they call the American Dream. This film is surely a true great. It's greed for wealthness would make you envious. There's always a saying for people like Tony, ' the person that wants too much from life, risk ...
