This is the final book in the four part series which begins with the scion's of shannara.Other books are as follows

All four books are written by Terry brooks.
It follows three decendant's of a family of shannara. They have been sent by a shade(dead druid) to recover three things that will help them destroy evil shadowen army. The three quests are as follows
Walker Boh has to bring back the castle of Paranor into the four lands. The castle had been sent into another world so no evil could take over the castle.
Wren has been sent to bring back the elves from there secret hidding place back to the four lands
Par has been sent to recover the sword of shannara.

One thing to note about the book however is although it is well written you will need to concentrate unless you want to have to keep rereading bits as Jack does tend to flip backwards and forwards from one reality to another.
The book in terms of reading as mentioned above can be difficult to keep track of if you just skim read it but it is the type of book you can emerse yourself in and everything around you will fade away, this said it is not an easy read and is propably more suitable for avid enjoyment readers of 18+ age group.
The book is that good that when I found they had done another collaboration I just HAD to have it, which will be the subject of another review.
But until then enjoy reading the Talisman it is a great read and you will enjoy using your imagination to conjur up the images of the characters. ...

Wow. I would never have found - let alone thought to look for - Talisman as a product to review here on Ciao. Luckily, the name Talisman was included in the list of matches for products I had just run a search on and so I can set about trying to describe the game which is too large for all bar the largest of dining room tables.
