Take the lead is a film that will touch the hearts of all people, a story about how one man goes against the labelling that others have done and against all odds turns the troublesome teenagers around. Antonio Banderas, who plays the main character, a dance teacher turns up at a school to deal witht the students who are segregated from the rest dur to bad behaviour, he faces many challenges and even has his beloved bike vandalised. but he continues and would not give up. he atempts to show the teenagers that there is more to life than the darker sides such as violence and drugs, he teaches them that dance is about passion, love and inner beauty. initially they are not interested but they soon change their minds and compete. in my opinion this is a film which should not be missed, it can be enjoyed by people of all ages although some scenes in the film may not appeal to younger viewers. i think that this film allows people to see that no matter what background you come from or who you may appear to be there is always a chance for sucess. a must see.
