After 10 years the boys are back with an extremely impressive tour. If you have ever been to a take that concert and came out going wow that was fab. Then you'll love this.
It really doesn't fail to impress.
When you think about them going back on tour you do think about them 10 years ago with the dancing and think god they can't pull that off now. But they have really thought about it in this concert, they do dance, but they pull it off, and the dancing and the whole show is a bit more mature whilst still keeping to the Take that style.
The songs perfomed on the tour are:
The show opens with the manager phoning for the boys, and he wants them now. His assistant only has a couple of minutes to manufacture them.
Once you've tasted love:
This is the first song of the night and has some backing vocals from Beverly night. It's a great song to start with and it really gets the crowd going
Pray:
This is when you first see the boys do a little bit of dancing, it lets everybody know that there will
be dancing involved later on in the show.
Today i've lost you
This is a previously unreleased track. The boys take there jackets off to reveal simple white shirts. This song is where all of the dancers are revelaed and you see a bit of each of there style of dancing.
why can't i wake up with you
More dancers are revealed on this one behind the boys on towers. A very beautiful song well choreographed.
it only takes a minute
This is the first show stopper of the night. The song is revamped and the music changed to the tango. Kicca who is a tango dancer joins the boys on the stage and they act out a battle for the girl through dance. Jason is fantatsic at this, it's a very sexy song.
Babe
It's Marks turn to shine with the very popular song babe. Tis song is very simple and is just the boys singing but it really works, its great.
Everything changes
Time to get the crowd going again. Gary really knows how to work the crowd
A million love songs
One of my all time favourite songs. Gary takes to the piano and the crowd join in.
Here is another show stopping performance. The boys Don Burgandy beatles style suits and go out into the crowd on the platform and perform some well know Beatles songs. The boys really go for it and have a lot of fun with some crazy dancing.
How deep is your love
Time to slow it down a bit and take it back to basics. It's just the boys and a couple of instruments.
Love aint here anymore
Still on the platform in the crowd. The boys perform this and the crowd joins in. This is the last song out in the crowd.
Apache 2006
An amazing performance. This has been done previously in one of Take Thats other concerts and it worked really well, so they decided to perform it again. Good idea boys. It's really tongue in cheek and it's about manufacturing a boyband. You get to see some mad dances as the music progresses and also the manager recites the rules.
Relight my fire
This is one of the best performances of the night. The boys don crazy costumes while the girls wear next to nothing in a circus style act. There is some great acrobatics, great dancing and a lot of fire. With a guest appearance from Lulu
Let it rain
This is an interlude to give the boys chance to change into their new costumes. Water starts to fall on the stage as dancers move in it.
Back for good
Dressed in gear for wet weather (big coats for example) the boys start singing in the rain.
Could it be magic
Robbie williams makes a guest appearance... well not quite, but he did record the beginning of this song specially for the tour and that image was projected onto the stage. This was a great idea, as after all Robbie was in take that for a lot of years.
Never forget
The end of the show. It's such a great song to end the show on as the word are so true... 'Never forget where you're coming from, never pretend that it's unreal. Someday soon this will all be someone elses dream.' It's a really emotional end and i've watched it quite a few times now, but i still get butterflies.
On the limited edition version of the dvd there is 1hr 24 minutes worth of bonus features, which include:
The ultimate story The ultimate fans Marks stage tour The understage action
The interviews are fab. The boys tell you about the making of the show and about how the decision was made to go back on tour.
Marks stage tour isn't so great as you don't see much of the stage but a lot of mark.
I loved watching the understage action especially when you get to see the boys getting changed. It is filmed however on a steady cam by one of the crew, so occasionally the picture isn't so great.
Included in the limited edition DVD is a bonus live CD including the songs:
Pray Babe Everything changes A million love songs Back for good.
Although a bonus CD is great it is just the usual songs from the concert, but live from Manchester so if you already have the never forget CD or previous cd's then you'll already have these songs.
I have to say that this was one of the best concerts i have ever seen and I personally think it is well worth the money.
Summary: The ultimate tour.
