Advantages: A good watch with some good fights Disadvantages: Can be a bit slow and disturbing!
Berserk in an anime adapted from a successful Manga story. The anime consists of 25 episodes and is compromised of the first two main storylines from the manga. It has a reputation as a brutal and violent Manga most of which had to be cut down in the anime. However saying this the anime still has a lot of blood and quite a bit f violence and adult themes. I say this as i personally wouldn't advise those under 15 to watch it even though I have never found animated violence to be that bad certain episodes of this anime are not suitable for younger teens.
The Story
The plot is set in a medieval timeline. As with most anime this is an alternate universe that resembles are own but the inclusion of the extraordinary doesn't seem strange. There are always many wars or battles happening between the major powers of the worlds. Due to ...
Advantages: some good plots, a little humour. Disadvantages: sometimes boring.
Although everyone who thinks of Taggart will automatically think of Mark McManus as Jim Taggart, The show is still reasonably good.
I do feel that the dry humour that Mark brought to the show has been lost, and that Blythe Duff and Colin Mcredie don't have the same humour.
Somewhere along the line the show has become a little boring and not as enjoyable as it was.
The plots and murders don't seem the same.
Colin McCredie does not have the flair that Mark McManus had and it lacks some character.
I still like watching it however and enjoy it to a good extent.
There are still the moments of humour between Duff and McCredie, but it will never be the same for me.
When Mark McManus died in 1994 he took the heart of a good drama with him. Having said that it does have moments of brilliance and the fact that it is a purely Scottish ...

Advantages: Hilarious comedy, good viewing Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive to buy whole set individually
Another installement to my DVD collection - the epic and classic comedy hero - Mr Bean. I love Rowan Atkinson, especially in Black Adder and also in the classic Mr Bean episodes. Despite my mood before hand, after watching Mr Bean I always feel much better, he always manages to intrigue my imagination with his biazarre mannerisms and abilty to turn the most straight forward of tasks into complete disaters!
Having not being able to buy the whollebox set I have had to purchase and review each DVD volume one by one.
This DVD contains 3 episodes, each with 3 or 4 sketches in them. All of whihc are brilliant and this DVD includes one of my favourites - the one where he goes to the swimming pool and clings to the diving board. The three episodes are entitled: Episode 1. 'The Curse Of Mr Bean', Episode 2. 'Mr Bean Goes To Town ...
