The isle of man TT races is the worlds greatest, fastest and most followed road racing in the world. It has been going since 1907 and is extremely popular with all sorts of people. Every year people from babies in prams to elderly and everthing in between turn out in there thousands to watch this nail biting action. Famous racers go round the 37 mile circuit at break neck speed on this gorgeous island. After the TT is over the island goes back to one of the most peaceful places in the world where people are so laid back its hard work to get out of bed!!! This dvd can only begin to give you a feel of the TT but its a great place to start!!!
not only has this dvd got the famous TT races to watch it also has rider profiles, a classic motorbike parade lap in which the great Richard (Milky) Quayle took part in and a marshels guide to the TT (which kind of states the obvious). The marshels guide is not really worth watching unless you want a laugh. All six of the races are covered showing many different camera angles from the ground and the helicopter. There is also a bonus on board lap with Guy Martin. At the TT 2006 The amazing John McGuinness (who i met woohoo!!!) won the superbike race claiming himself a lap record at a unbelievable pace of 129.4mph lap. It was not long ago that people were saying that the 130mph lap it impossible and will never be reached. If your into sidecars this is the dvd for you. If your not then maybe this will convert you to the wild side ; ) ! The well known sidecar racer Dave Molinuex who is so used to winning the TT it would be a shock not to was not racing this year. Him and his passenger Steve Hallam had a crash in practice and the oufit set on fire! This accident gave the up and coming Nick Crowe a chance to shine. Watch the crazy racing round the mountain through open fingers as the sidecars battle it out.
Did i enjoy it? stupid question... yes i loved every minute of it (with 1 exeption, the marshals guide) Anyone who has been to the TT will love it to remind them of their time. If you havn't been WARNING this dvd will make you want to go!
Story It doesn't really have a story line it just goes from day to day racing with some joining up clips in between.
Characters there is no acting involved. Although as you get shown round the paddock some of the racers are right characters!!!
Special effects everything you see is real but camera angles ect are fantastic.
Sountrack Most of the dvd is interviews or commentry so there is no sountrack. The only music you get is at the start whilst its loading and when you go onto the menus. This music gets your pulse going and the hairs up on the back of your neck ready for the action!
how does it compare to simalar films? all duke TT videos are fantastic.
Value for money Dig deep its more than woth it!
Whether you were there or not this is the ultimate dvd of the worlds greatest road race. I recommend it to all motorbike/sidecar fans.
