Advantages: A good overall feeling of the isle of man tt Disadvantages: doesn't mention the fantastic tt nightlife
...on fire! This accident gave the up and coming Nick Crowe a chance to shine. Watch the crazy racing round the mountain through open fingers as the sidecars battle it out.
Did i enjoy it?
stupid question... yes i loved every minute of it (with 1 exeption, the marshals guide) Anyone who has been to the TT will love it to remind them of their time. If you havn't been WARNING this dvd will make you want to go!
Story
It doesn't really have a story line it just goes from day to day racing with some joining up clips in between.
Characters
there is no acting involved. Although as you get shown round the paddock some of the racers are right characters!!!
Special effects
everything you see is real but camera angles ect are fantastic.
Sountrack
Most of the dvd is interviews or commentry so there is no sountrack. The only music you get is at the start...

Advantages: Cheap, historical and quite fun Disadvantages: Old, Filmed in video so not DVD quality
...at break neck speeds.
The commentators also interview many racers and teams in the pits at the Grandstand, which is nice to see some familiar faces who unfortuanetly are not in the later TTs due to accidents or retiring. I'm definetly enjoyed this DVD though, as '99 was a good year for the TT (or as much of it as I can remember!)
My main problems with this DVD were the fact that its just not as high quality as some of the later videos of the TT in 2002 onwards, and it doesn't focus on the crowd and spectators very much , who are definetly the characters behind the TT itself. It does give a glimpse of Mad Sunday though, where the entire track is opened up as a one way road to general users, and the roads are packed with loads of bikers doing crazy things, such as riding nude or with strange costumes on. Which is nice!
From what I can remember...

Advantages: The extra clips at the end add to the fun Disadvantages: You will be singing the songs all day!
...This is my 18 month son's favourite DVD. When he wakes up in the morning he asks for Tractor Ted and even sings the songs when it isn't on!
I bought this DVD (8.99 from Woolworths) because he liked the tractors at a farm we visited. At first I thought it was quite boring as it has a lot of technical detail in it is quite slow going, but he was transfixed!
It's longer than other TTDVD's at about an hour long without the extra bits and is continous. It covers all the activity on an organic farm from composting to feeding the pigs to spraying silage!
The songs are very catchy and his favourite 'Clover' he sings all the time.
This is a great educational tool and my son counts, repeats vegetable names and other complicated words, learns about insects and recognises things when we are out and about.
Apart from that he finds it really...
