UK viewers finally get to see the second half of the first season on DVD!
Season 1 Vol 2 continues the story of Dean & Sam WInchester on their roadtrip across the US in search of their missing father.
Still starring Jensen Ackles as Dean and Jared Padalecki as Sam, with appearances from Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Greys Anatomy) and Nicki Aycox (Cold Case).
Dean and Sam continue to come across and investigate strange occurences on their journey - some that are believed to be urban legends and folklore. They will look into many a strange thing including Shtriga's, Vampires and Phantoms.
We learn more about the childhood of that has made Dean and Sam how they are today. The storyline builds to a spectacular climax with a end of season cliff-hanger that will have you screaming in frustration while sitting on the edge of your seat!
All of this accompanied by the show's rock soundtrack!!
Season 2 will be beginning in the US next week, on the brand new CW Channel and viewers will finally learn what happens next!!
I personally cannot wait to see what Season 2 has in store for us......
This Part 2 boxset is retailing at anywhere from £17.99 up to £23.99 and was released on the 21st August 2006.
I was rather disappointed to discover that there were no extra features on the DVD - again!! Even more so when you hear what extras were added to the US DVD releases.
There are no behind the scenes features or gag reels or commentaries, which is a real shame as I think they would have a good incentive.
The Complete Season 1 boxset is scheduled for release at the start of October which will offer better value for money, but there is no mention of any bonus features on there either.
As the tagline goes "Scary Just Got Sexy" and oh, yes it did!
