planet Krypton is doomed. Only one man Jor-El knows it and rockets his infant son to refuge on a distant world called Earth. As Jor-El'‚´s son grows to manhood he learns he possesses super-powers he must hide from ordinary mortals around him. It takes a big movie to contain the considerable talents of Marlon Brando Gene Hackman Jackie Cooper Glen Ford Margot Kidder Valerie Perrine and at its heart the most human portrayal of the Man of Steel Christopher Reeve. Superman an Academy Award winner (1978) for special achievement in visual effects is more than big enough. Directed by Richard Donner Superman: The Movie makes us believe this epic story all over again. Advantages: Erm, none? Disadvantages: Everything you could possibly imagine.
Without being entirely ignorant, there are always certain films that I anticipate seeing more than others. After the pretty dreadful Green Street, I'd be lying if I said hearing the rumours about a straight-to-dvd sequel had me, in any way, twitching in extreme anticipation.
Green Street 2 tracks the members of rival firms West Ham United and Millwall, who are now serving time in a tough prison for their fighting in the previous film.
After wasting an hour and half of my life to watch this pathetic attempt at filmmaking, I can conclude that my instincts were indeed right.
Firstly, how they can even call it a "sequel" is way beyond me, as it contains just one actor from the first film- Dave (and no, I can't remember him either). The violence is explicit, but poorly choreographed; never exciting or partly intriguing. The acting I ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Green Street 2 (DVD)
Advantages: Hilarious comedy, good viewing Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive to buy whole set individually
Another installement to my DVD collection - the epic and classic comedy hero - Mr Bean. I love Rowan Atkinson, especially in Black Adder and also in the classic Mr Bean episodes. Despite my mood before hand, after watching Mr Bean I always feel much better, he always manages to intrigue my imagination with his biazarre mannerisms and abilty to turn the most straight forward of tasks into complete disaters!
Having not being able to buy the whollebox set I have had to purchase and review each DVD volume one by one.
This DVD contains 3 episodes, each with 3 or 4 sketches in them. All of whihc are brilliant and this DVD includes one of my favourites - the one where he goes to the swimming pool and clings to the diving board. The three episodes are entitled: Episode 1. 'The Curse Of Mr Bean', Episode 2. 'Mr Bean Goes To Town ...
Advantages: Hilarious episodes that can be watched over and over again and still enjoyed. Disadvantages: Not a lot of episodes.
For people who love animated comedy, this is certainly for you. Self-proclaimed as a cross between The Simpsons and South Park, Family Guy has made its own unique impression on the animated comedy market. For those that don't know with Family Guy is, it follows the lives of the Griffin family (one of the most dysfunctional families on TV). Peter Griffin (the father) is all too similar to Homer Simpson, in that he has good intentions, but can't help but be a bumbling idiot in the process.
Family Guy Season 2 contains 15 hilarious episodes (including the controversial episode 'When You Wish Upon a Weinstein', which was banned from TV due to its many references to the Jewish). Other episodes include the Griffin family appearing on a talkshow, and Peter pnicking over the end of the world caused by the millennium bug. I think that this ...
In 'Superman', possibly the greatest comic strip story of all time, Christopher Reeve stars in the lead role as the crime busting action hero. In 'Superman 2' renegade survivors from Krypton threaten Earth with a space bomb. Lex Luthor and two dastardly accomplices take over the White House. Superman races to the rescue and undertakes a series of mighty struggles.
