After seeing this in Tesco me and hubby thought it sounded good and well worth a watch but oh boy were we both disappointed.
The story follows two boys, Seth and Evan who have grown up together and are about to graduate from school. Unfortunately they did not get the same college so they are making the most of the 2 months which they have left before they have to leave. They are determined to get themselves girlfriends so they can become ‘sexually experienced’ before college. The only trouble being is that they never get invited to the parties as they are what is called ‘geeks’. Things take a turn for the boys when they actually get invited by a hot girl and they say that they will get the booze for everyone.
Seth and Evan enlist the help of their friend Fogell who manages to get a fake ID and says he will use it to buy the booze. The boys set off on their mission but thing go wrong when the liquor store is robbed and Fogell is take by the police.
Will Seth and Evan make it to the party with any booze and what will happen to Fogell, or McLovin as his ID says, now he is with the local police? Will the boys all manage to get themselves laid and experienced before they head off to college?
Well the film started off in a good way with the boys making jokes and having fun in school but then it just seemed to go downhill. All they would talk about was sex and they forever swore. The two actors, Jonah Hill and Michael Cera were very good in their roles and did a good job with what they had to work with but for me it was not good enough. The addition of Christopher Mintz-Plasse was good and he played an extremely funny role and I found he was by far the best in the film.
The police in the film were a disgrace and did put the police forces in a very bad light. Despite this they did add some humour to the film and if taken in the context is was meant than this can be forgiven. I thought the casting of Seth Rogen as one of the cops was very good. There were a lot of supporting actors and actresses in the film and I thought that they were all good in their roles and did manage to bring a bit of depth to an otherwise very bland film.
The storyline was nothing special as it has been done before, especially with the American Pie films, basically it was three boys trying to have sex and there was nothing new or different for me to enjoy. Both me and hubby were thinking of turning the film off at one point but we did manage to get to the end. I think that this film could have been made so much better with a slight different story or with it moving in a different way. The film was set in the present time so not much was needed in the way of sets and costumes but the ones which we saw were all very good.
The music in the film was probably the best part and I did find I enjoyed it all very much. All of the tracks were used in a good way and very appropriate for the places they were used.

We were so not impressed with the film so we took no more time to sit and watch these features.
The running time of this film luckily is only 1 hour and 48 minutes but we both did struggle to sit and watch it all. The certificate is a 15 and I do strongly agree with this as throughout the film we have frequent strong sex references and lots of use of bad language.
I am not going to recommend this film and I think that the title of tells you exactly what to expect. I am slight disappointed that I did spend £4 in Tesco for this DVD as I would have much preferred to have not paid and waited for this to have come on the TV. I think teenagers may enjoy this film much more than me and hubby.
