This is one of the funniest films I have ever had the pleasure to watch. The plot is far from spectacular; three teenagers try to get themselves some alcohol and some sex. Nothing new there, I admit. But the whole film had me in stitches. Rarely do I actually laugh out loud (LOL for the youngsters reading this) but I hardly stopped whilst watching this. In fact, I've watched this film three or four times and its still as funny as it was the very first time I watched it. I really cannot express how funny I found this film.
Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill) are best friends on a mission to get drunk and get 'laid'. Their friend Fogell (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) acquires a fake ID which the trio plan to use to get alcohol to take to a party being held by the focus of Seth's most recent crush. The gang encounter various distractions, most notably two Police Officers along the way.
Bill Hader and Seth Rogen take on the supporting roles of the two police officers and take Fogell under their wing after they are called to the store that he is buying alcohol from after it has been robbed. The three of them embark on a bizzarre adventure that culminates in a bar fight and their police car being trashed.
Michael Cera and Jonah Hill have really shown how entertaining they can be, I look forward to seeing anything to do in the future. Seth Rogan, in my opinion has cemented his role as a comedy genius. Before this film, he was funny. Now, I think he is one of the funnist men alive.
The highlight of the dvd extras is a compilation of sketches of penises. Bizzarre as this sounds it will be explained during the film in a very funny and surreal scene.
