Now this isn't my usual kind of film, but for a hungover and tired Sunday this was just what the doctor ordered.
Starring Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (no I hadn't heard of them either) I have to say that I found this film hilarious, if a bit predictable (think American Pie etc). The main plot is that the three friends are trying to pull before leaving school and going to college. They manage to blag invites to a party at one of the girls houses by promising to supply the alcohol for the night. The one manages to get a fake ID under the name "McLovin" but it pretty much all goes downhill from there. The story then follows their quest for alcohol - think armed raids in off licenses, a drunken night out with two policemen, gatecrashing another party where everyone's high on drugs and you pretty much get the idea.
I wouldn't recommend this if you are easily offended or prefer a more sophisticated genre of film but if you fancy an easy to follow comedy that you don't really need to think about, then this is for you. It's also only a couple of hours long.
It's currently available in HMV for £12.99. The extended version that I have also has a second disc with special features such as a documentary on the making of the film and on-set diaries.
