Okay, so what we have here is a film with next to no narrative whatsoever - in essence, just a couple of horny high school friends going on a mission to provide alcohol for a graduation party in hope of losing their virginity. And yet it works. The 'let's get laid' scenario has been set many times before but never with such pant-wetting appeal. Who needs a decent plot when you have dialogue as sharp as an Uma Thurman - wielded samurai sword? It is with only the slightest of exaggerations that I write that I did not stop laughing from start to finish.
From the makers of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up and starring Jonah Hill (Seth) and Michael Cera (Evan), a riotous laugh-fest ensues as the principals plough their ways from one scene to the next. Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing Uber-geek Fogell steals the show, however. He creates a driver's license that states his age as twenty-five, his address as Hawaii and his name (just the one) as 'McLovin'. Side plots ensue as McLovin gets the booze and acquires 2 manic cops as guardians for the night. I loved this character - just thinking about his skinny frame and bottle top glasses makes me chuckle to this day.
Thankfully, there is little time for the normal schmaltzy moralising you get in American teen movies. Beware of the language if you are in anyway easily offended though - it takes crudity to a new level, as does the fixation on all manner of bodily functions. And don't leave before the credits as they contain one of the funniest parts of the film - a series of the most creative doodlings of male appendages you will ever see.
This hilarious film is thouroughly recommended and will, no doubt, enter the annals of 'must see' classics in years to come.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
