Advantages: New songs worth listening to from STYX Disadvantages: Well, the band's previous albums are better
The STYX With New Songs
I purchased this STYX Brand New World about a year ago thinking I would be hearing new songs from STYX that still have the band's classic style. Then I realized that I was listening to different styles of songs from the band. I expected STYX to come up with a better album than the band's previous hit albums since the members just got reunited and they have rested for years after the split-up. This album may not be great but it is good.

Advantages: You knew what you would get Disadvantages: Totally out of fashion
So here I am logged into ciao and searching almost randomly, yet trying to follow some sort of stream of consciousness.
I enter Styx into the search and am suprised to get a result - No reviews though.
Way back when, 1978 in this case I was introduced to the music of so-called "pomp rockers" Styx; absolutely massive in America, virtual unknowns in the UK.
They filled a gap in this teenagers life (I was then), and I became an avid collector of their work, about 15 albums worth.
Even went to see them at their only UK gig a couple of years later, Hammersmith Odeon and they rocked.
Last year I made the ultimate sacrifice to domesticity and disposed of my vinyl collection, 200+ albums.
The years have not been kind to Styx, not a single album made it to the transfer to CD pile.
Tastes change with the years and only ...

Fimbles ? Smelly Jelly
I have to admit that Fimbles are not one of my favourite children?s programmes though my daughter loves it so we decided to go and get her a DVD so when we wanted to watch something on the television, she could watch it happily on the laptop ? which she enjoys doing as its mummy?s laptop and she isn?t meant to touch it!
The Fimbles are Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom, who all live in a lovely, colourful place called Fimble Valley. The Fimbles are cuddly hippo like creatures each with lovely colourful ?skins?. Other characters in this programme include a blue tree frog called Rockit and a mole called Roly Mo, a pink bird called Bessie and her chick Ribble. Most of the other characters are essentially large puppets except the chick who is just a great ball of fluff with eyes stuck on it, unmoving in the main ...

DVD Description
An expert safecracker (Peter Weller) who went straight after a near-fatal armored car explosion decides to come out of retirement and team up with another veteran career criminal (Bryan Brown) in order to save his brother, who is in deep trouble with some loan sharks. This particular job will not allow him to ease back into the game, however, as the odds--and the artillery--are not in his favor!
