Advantages: Very Entertaining Disadvantages: Some events seem implausible
...I first saw this film in the cinema and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD and I bought it on it's first day of release. A lot of movie critics who saw an advanced preview of this film totally rubbished it and they all came out of the preview laughing and saying it was far fetched rubbish. Well I have made a point not to listen to critics opinions, in fact I always go to see a film if they rubbish it. I wasn't dissappointed this was simply the best film I saw that year with special effects galore and a star studded cast. The DVD improves on the film with all the added extras that come with it, especially the directors commentary which you can listen to while thwe film is on and it offers, many interesting pieces of information about the making of the film. This film is a must for action fans and fans of Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck...

Advantages: Easy to watch romantic comedy Disadvantages: Bit of a tear jerker in parts.
...A easy and fun to watch comedy about a guy who is so desperately in love with a movie star but he just can't find the words to tell her.
You get engrossed in the sub plots of each of the characters as the film progresses in a very "Four Weddings and A Funeral" style.
A star studded cast who all work well together without overshadowing one another.
By watching on DVD you get to see the extra bits which are always good value as well as getting excellent picture and sound quality.
This film is a good one for a girls night in with a box of chocs and a bottle of wine and can be watched many times over as there is always something that you see the next time round that you missed before as it is shot in some very quaint settings throughout London....

Advantages: nothing Disadvantages: Joan Collins unclothed, horrible disco music, everything really
...telling me, “You know what I would have nothing to do with Joan Collins….I bet you there are cobwebs all over her body." LOL, well I’m certainly not going to challenge that. I don’t consider her much of an actress myself, though I will admit she gave all she could in the role of Alexis Carrington, on the long running soap “Dynasty”; she won several Emmys for that role, and I can submit to that being the “pinnacle” of her career. In the late 1970s, she decided to star in an awful, soft-core version of her sister’s (Jackie’s) novel THE STUD, in which she was having an affair with an up-and-coming waiter. Apparently, that movie was something of a runaway success in England in 1978; her followup to that film, entitled THE BITCH, came out a year later and bombed…and I could see why. This film made the THE STUD look like UNFAITHFUL; that may...

...This film is number 1in my favorite top 10 of war films. The fact that it shows what prisoners of war went through to escape from POW camps in Germany and even better is that its a true story.
With such a star studded cast and fantastic personal performances from Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Richard Attinborough and many, many more great actors of the silver screen both British and American.
Its a must buy for anybody and where as Saving Private Ryan was about just a squad of men this film tells the story of over a hundred men and their endevour to escape back to allied lines and to fight again against the Nazi Regime.
The DVD gives hours of entertainment with extras such as personal interviews with some of the cast.
Based on a true story, The Great Escape is epic entertainment that entertains, captivates, thrills and stirs....

Advantages: The Cast, of course Disadvantages: Can Be Hard To Follow
...Ocean's 13 could possibly be the best out of the series. It just proves again that this star-studded cast of thieves can accomplish the impossible. The only problem I had with this movie is that the score was put together just a little too quickly. At times it was quite difficult to follow what was going on and how the movie had gotten to that point.
Even so, with a cast like this it is hard to do any wrong. The crew pulled off the impossible. Although, the score was not exactly what you would expect from this team. It wasn't just about thievery so a new element was added to this group.
All in all, this movie is a go. Great cast, and a fast-moving story make for one heck of a con....

Advantages: This is a truly rumbustious treatment of Shakespearian themes. It can be taken on many levels. Webster makes an appearance as a little boy who loves to interfere and is entranced with suffering. Disadvantages: Not really any.
...This colourful costume drama is well-plotted and an excellent view. The locations are stunning and the reality of the London scenes with the mud and noise is quite breathtaking. The atmosphere of the theatrical settings is also stunning.
The story begins with Shakespeare experiencing writer's block and having to visit a therapist, played by Anthony Scher. This is a ribald, witty scene which makes you laugh out loud.
The plot thickens when Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe are confused and Shakespeare pretends to be Marlowe with what appear to be devastating consequences.
A lovely twist on girls not being allowed to play is brought about when Gwynneth Paltrowe pretends to be a boy in order to audition for the part of Romeo.
The plot of Romeo and Juliet is echoed in the screenplay and the developing drama is studded with fights...
