A big problem with this DVD is that it is rather disjointed. The section “Geri’s postures” is a series of poses one after the other without much connection. It offers a workout, but without flowing from one posture to the next.
Yoga is helpful to develop the body and mind. Geri’s yoga does offer a reasonable challenging workout using core strength, flexibility, and stamina. However, a lot of this comes from the sun salutation. I would recommend this DVD as a reference to learn the postures and perfect them. ..., tree pose... to slightly more advanced postures like headstand, wheel, spinal twist, and bow pose. None of the postures are extremely challenging, but you should still only do what you feel comfortable with what you are doing. If necessary you should check with a GP before you start any yoga.

Advantages: You Really do lose wieght Disadvantages: Outgrow it quickly
...of an experienced yogini (student of yoga), I still enjoy doing this DVD every now and then to go back to the basics. It would not be a good idea for someone who is an intermediate or advnaced yogini to do this regularly, but for a beginner that will give you the building blocks for a lifelong journey that is yoga....
