As a huge Street Fighter fan this is actually the second movie that I have watched (Street Fighter 2 Animated being the first) and I must say that it was engaging and a wonder to look at as well as having an intruging story to keep you watching.
For anyone who is not familiar with the popular franchise this film follows a warrior named Ryu who has just reunited with his long time best friend Ken. Both warriors are brought together due to the unfortunate death of their master who both taught Ryu and Ken the fighting style of 'Shotokan'. Mysteriously later on a boy named Shun appears claiming that he is the long lost brother of Ryu who has never known or met him before.
Although puzzled by this Ryu, Ken and Shun decide to stay and talk with each other about the situation and it seems that Shun was told by his mother that he had a brother that lived far away from where he was. When everyone is sleeping Ryu decides to stay awake and examine the picture of Shun with what could be his mother beside him. Suddenly thought Ryu begins to feel some kind of force that is taking over his body and begins to get up and walk away. When Ken wakes up he sees that both Shun and Ryu are out of bed and decides to check out what is going on.
He finds Ryu staggering in the forest with some sort of prescence surronding him. As you watch the movie you will come to learn that this presence is known as the 'Dark Hadou' which Ryu is constantly trying to battle with during the film.
The beggining is very well set to get you thinking about what will possibly happen next and for the record I can reveal that there is a sort of twist at the end of it which I myself was suprised to find out. The musical score is by far the best thing about this film though as it really gives the movie a dramatic feel and a joy to listen to as well especially if you have a surrond sound feature built up.
Extras on the DVD are limited but suprisingly good as it contains a 'Making of Street Fighter Alpha' short film, some interviews, the official trailer of the movie and a couple of other features that should keep you interested after you have watched the feature film.
In all this is a great purchase for anyone who is into films in general or animes and has many memorable characters from the Street Fighter universe that will please fans.
PS. By the way the all powerful Akuma features in this film!!

A good review. Personally I prefer to have some headings as it makes it a little easier to read but that's just a personal preference so I haven't rated you down for that. Have put you on review alerts. Susan. :o)
