Especially when a dramatic voice announces, "Anything can happen in the next half hour!".Stingray(1964) was the show Gerry Anderson made just before he really hit the big time withThunderbirds(1965), producing 39 episodes of the 21st-century adventures of Troy Tempest--tall, dark and handsome (his voice was based on James Garner) captain of the titular submarine. His mission: to protect the seas on behalf of WASP (World Aquanaut Security Patrol). With complex underwater model and puppet effects, this was ground-breaking television, especially as it was the first UK series to be made in colour, though for years it was only seen in black and white. Special effects director Derek Meddings later graduated to the James Bond movies, while Moneypenny herself (actress Lois Maxwell) voiced Atlanta Shore. Here, just as in the Bond movies, she played second fiddle in our hero's affections, the mute Marina becoming Stingray's sex-goddess. The end-credits even featured a song in her honour, "Aqua Maria", which became an international hit. As for the bad guys: half-man, half-fish Titan and his Terror Fish wage dastardly war against humanity and the peaceful underwater citizens of Pacifica. Four decades on themodel and underwater sequences still impress, and surely much of the inspiration for the underwater city inThe Phantom Menacecame from locations inStingray. THE best comedy series ever created is my honest opinion. There are very few actual laugh out loud comedy programmes however all seven series of this fabulous boxset are incredibly funny. The family consists of Delboy (the ultimate cockney geezer), his brother Rodney (the ultimate dipstick), and either grandad in earlier series or uncle Albert in later series, and of course their friends including Trigger and Boycie. As far as british comedy goes, I would go as far as saying this is unbeatable, from the moment you begin watching you will fall in love with the loveable rogues and follow their journey through the years as they try absolutely every scam in the book to make a fast buck. You could also watch these episodes over and over again which suggests how good this is. The boxset is a must have for any fan out there. ...

this is the only fools and horses complete collection boxset but in my eyes it isnt because loads of scenes have been cut and musical scores changed or cut out and laughter tracks added onto episodes that didnt originally have a laughter track. so its not really the complete collection is it with all these things changed and added the episode a royal flush is the one that been edited the most loads of scenes have been cut and a laughter track added wich spoils the episode completely. i would strongly recommend anyone that want to see all the episodes in all their glory is to tape them off uk gold its better than this so called complete collection that the bbc have released im still waiting for the genuine complete collection. ...
