A very cheesy and somewhat poor adaptation of the fantastic Stephen King novel. The film does not do the novel justice at all!It is the story of a group of children from a small town who are terrorized by a malignent force (in the shape of a really big scary horrible clown) that kills. Thirty years later, as grown men having all moved away, they learn of a string of child murders back in their hometown and this time they decide to team up and fight back.
The film is kind of like a horror - comedy, although you can see it is actually a gripping, terrifying storyline you just cant help but wet your pants laughing at some of the scenes and some of the performances! Also unlike, Friday the 13th, where there is a reason behind the child killing, in this film there just isnt!
I am one of many people who got quite confused when the film seemed to stop halfway through - until I figured out that you have to turn the DVD over for the other half! To be honest, I think it was a waste of time using the energy to get up and turn it over as the second half just went downhill. The film strays right off the hair raising book.
I didnt actually see the end of the film as I ended up switching it off - i just couldnt cope with the cheesy acting and story line any longer! The film lasts for over three hours altogether which I wouldnt mind if it was a decent film that kept you engrossed!
