A monster has been haunting Derry since the 1700's , killing kids and taking the form of what they fear the most. Seven kids try to kill IT and think they have suceeded until twenty seven years later , when IT comes back and starts killing again. The kids (who are now adults) must come back and beat it for a second time , but this time , they need to kill IT before it kills anymore.
Don't make the mistake of watching the film before the book because the book is sooo much better than the film
The film leaves out so much important information from the book , such as characters , attacks of IT and a lot of oher important things.
The child actors I do agree are brilliant , adults weren't as convincing really !
I enjoyed the film though , it has two sides (both an hour and a half long roughly) but don't forget , this was filmed in 1990 , so some of the graphics aren't that great !
Please don't watch the film before you read the book , many people made that mistake !
And don't give up hope as there is a remake of IT coming out soon :) hopefully this one will be a bit better , though the orignal isn't too bad , I would recommend you to watch IT !
I would give it an excellent but it isn't as excellent as the book so it's getting 4 stars :D

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
