StargateS.G.1 based on the Stargate movie.
This series is one of the best science fiction series ever. The series follows S.G. 1 on their missions to other planets through the Stargate. The S.G. 1 team are made up of Jack O'Neill (2 L's), Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and eventually Teal'c. Colonel Jack O'Neill is very anti establishment and has a lot of funny one liners and always seems to be the one getting shot, blown up, zapped, transported or whatever. Richard Dean Anderson plays him. Captain Carter is the science geek, if it is broke or needs fixing she can fix it. She uses words like exponentially a lot. Amanda Tapping plays her. Daniel Jackson is an archaeologist who originally told the world that the pyramids were landing pads for alien ships. Micheal Shanks plays him. Teal'c is a Jaffa and he starts off as ...
Advantages: Charactor classics Disadvantages: you want more
is Teal'c. He's an alien. This series is endorsed by the Air Force.
This disk is really a good one because it contains one of my favorite shows from the season, which is saying something considering how many episodes I really like in this season.
This is a good disk with 4 good shows. I'd like to say it's the best of this set, but I can't because this set has a lot of really good shows on it.
Episode 1: Into the Fire
"Previously, on Stargate SG-1?" Hathor has managed to capture Jack, Sam and Daniel (but not Teal,'c though she might have rejected him because she couldn't mess with his mind as easily.) She almost had them convinced that everyone else on the team was dead and that s/he held vital information from the last mission, but our heroes aren't so stupid. Oh, and Daniel has a stupid new haircut. On of the other teams ...
Advantages: Gripping, addictive, plenty too watch, perfect in most ways Disadvantages: expensive and may take up most of your days for the next while
I?ve been a massive fan of the Stargate franchise since my older brother brought home the first season box set a couple of years ago and we sat down to watch it nearly every day.
Ok, so first I?ll begin with an explanation of the Stargate SG1 universe. Here goes. Humans are a the next step in the evolutionary path of a race of aliens known as the ?Ancients?. They were a massively advanced race both in technoligy and mentaly who existed millions of years ago. But they eventually reached a point in their evolution when they became beings of pure energy known as ?ascendedd being? who live on a different plane of existance. But this information isn?t realised for a few seaons. I tell you this because of a few common misconceptions that are sometimes spawned early on in the series.
The Ancients created a device known as the Stargate ...
Featuring four episodes. In 'Nightwalkers' a scientist disappears and the SG1 team are called to investigate. In 'Abyss', O'Neill is taken captive by the Goa'uld and is tortured. In 'Shadow Play' Jonas is asked to help in a coup on his home world. In 'The Other Guys' two scientists are the only witnesses to the SG1 crew being taken by the Goa'uld.
