These simple three films have changed the face of cinema forever. In the beginning, there was a lot of yellow scrolling text. Then came word and the word was Star and then soon came the next word Wars. These simple words are now recognised by millions of people worldwide. George Lucas had a dream. A dream to create the greatest trilogy of all time, and he did. This box set enables you to view them all in there finest production yet. The first film begins with a young man called Luke venturing off to find the mysterious Ben Kenobi who we later find out to be one of the last remaining Jedi. As the film progresses we meet r2 d2 a robot sent by the lovely princess Leya with a message asking for help. Obi wan (bens real name) and Luke head off with C3P0 and R2D2 to try and find her. In there search for transportation they come across Han Solo smuggler extraordinaire and his wookie friend Chewbacca. On there way to Leya's home world they are intercepted by The Empire's fighter ships called tie fighters. After chasing the fighter for some time they see its destination. A superstition with the power to destroy planets. As all brave super heroes would do Han tries to run. He fails but it was a valiant effort. The Death Star (melodramatic or what!) sucks them in with its tractor beam (no it’s not used to plough fields) and soon they're trapped. Then they see him the big bad killerwupaaah man monkey no not Harrison ford before a shower, Darth Vader the mother of all bad guys walks really heavy footedly towards them. Obi Wan then nobly scarifies himself so the rest of the gang can escape. I have given you just a taste of what is to come and I cannot do the films justice by simply describing them in this way. To truly appreciate these films you must watch them. When you watch the star wars film you are not just buying into a stupendously good time, you buy into a world wide community. Ranging from those of us who just know all the names of the characters to those who dress up as chewie and scare the neighbours. Anyway this is a box set with 4 dvds not 3 and the special features are also great a very impressive “making of” feature. These films are not just dvd disks they are revolving wheels of life that our community runs on. Like this you will.
