...Star trek the next genration started off as a kinda remake of the orginal series but in the 24th century. As the series went on, the episodes got much better and series 7 is the result of all the lessons learned from previous series. The storys are excellent, special recommendations to the following episodes: The Peagasus Genesis Premptive Strike All Good Things Paralels Series 7 of TNG is the best by far but it does has its sadess moment, the end of the TNG series. The acting was briiliant, the special effects are brilliant and so are the sets. All in all, the series is worth buying. Suggest you buy the slim box set as it is cheaper and gives you more space on the shelf.... Read review

...*The Film Star Trek Generations is the seventh film in the Star Trek series and is the first to feature the cast of The Next Generation TV series. The film starts on board the Enterprise B, with Kirk, Chekov and Scotty guests of honour at the launch of the new ship. During the launch, they respond to a distress signal and during the mission that rescues passengers from two ships, Kirk is swept out into space. The scene then switches seventy years into the future and to the Enterprise D, under the command of Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart). Picard and his crew encounter one of the rescued passengers, Dr Tolian Soren (Malcom McDowell) who is developing a weapon capable of destroying stars, aided and abetted by some renegade Klingons. Advantages: Space Battles, The Borg, Star Trek at its best

...First Contact is the 8th movie in the Star Trek saga and it is the first film in the series devoted entirely to the crew of the Next Generation led by Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard. The basic story is that the crew of the starship Enterprise have to save the Earth from the evil Borg Cyborgs. There is plenty of action and suspense in the film and if you haven't seen Star Trek before,you can still enjoy it. The film is great to see on DVD and you have the choice of either normal screen or widescreen versions(I recommend the widescreen to enjoy the cinema feel) The DVD comes with the usual extras and is a better buy than the video release....
