...A classic comedy. This film should not be taken seriously. This Mel Brooks film is one of the best western spoofs and ranks with Airplane in the spoof comedy genre. It’s the story of a little frontier town called Rockridge and the corrupt dealings of Hedley Lemar, the local vilan. Hedley convinces the Governor to send the town the first Black sheriff to combat the lawlessness (which Hedley is supplying). Obviously this is not something the white, God fearing population of this small town are expecting. The things to look out for are the numerous musical numbers, the surreal ending and the campfire scene.Some may be offended by its sometimes racist comedy.... Read review

Advantages: extremely accurate
Disadvantages: early years of Wyatt Earp feel a touch rushed

...This film is an epic western movie, based very accurately on the story of Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp. Born March 19th 1848. Wyatt would come to spend his adult years during the wildest period of the frontier. Wyatt Earp became legendary as a lawman, and his greatest feats are being the man to clean up Dodge City {One of the most violent frontier towns in the wild west} and for the Gunfight at the O.K Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. This film came out a touch later than the fantastic Tombstone starring Kurt Russel playing Wyatt Earp. However, unlike Tombstobe this is a biography of the entire life of the boy, the man, the legend. I first watched this movie in the cinema, and as soon as possible purchased it on DVD. Wyatt Earp is a lenghty movie, but needs to be, to get as much information across as possible about the man. Initially the film... Read review

Advantages: Typically Goth-esque
Disadvantages: Losing Brandon in the filming of it so sequels are poor by comparison

...The Crow is one of my all time favourite films. Set in a dark brooding backdrop of a city, where lawlessness seems to be everybodys hobby, the character of Eric Draven rises to exact revenge against his fiances killers, by picking them off one by one, and almost executing them using their own chosen prefered weapons against them. Brandon Lee, who will always be remembered as being accidentally killed in the making of this movie, seems to be just the right kind of semi spooky personna to play the main character and has led this film to being a major must have on every goths Christmas list since its release. I always watch it when its on Sky or any other channel I happen to see it on. A film that is watchable over and over again.... Read review
