Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters And Marvels (DVD)

Mutant is released under the "Hollywood" Dvd collection. These DVD's were most popular when DVDs were first starting to take over videos but were still priced considerably higher. These cheaper DVDs were around half the price but it does show in the movies. With action movies, such a low budget release would be forgotten but low budget horror movies have a much better quality and are far more entertaining. Mutant was released in a 3 DVD Hollywood boxset along with "Beyond the door 2" and "The grim reaper". Although it could be argued that "The grim reaper" was a scarier film, "Mutant" is far more entertaining. The story is simple enough, 2 brothers are travelling on holiday when they crash at a small redneck town. They expect to stay just the night but they start to uncover something sinister that is causing people to become ill ...

Review of Mutant (DVD)

Big Stan is the man

Advantages: Funny; easy to folow plot and storyline; memorable characters
Disadvantages: slightly grosse, if that's a bad thing

This film is directed by and stars Rob Schneider, of whom, I am a great fan of from other films like - 'The Animal' 'Duce Bigalo Gigalo' and 'The Hot Chick'. Almost all his films are comedies (or else, the one's I have watched anyway) and he has to be one of my favourite American Actors. This film was released in 2007 and again, is a comedy. *********The Plot and story *************** The story line and plot is very basic and easy to follow. This allows us to focus more on the humour than trying to fathom what is going on. The start is quite quick and begins with the sentence of 'Stan' to three years in jail for fraud. Basically, he's a con man who has conned people of their money. He's really rich; owns a luxurious mansion with posh cars and a beautiful faithful wife called 'Mindy'. A MUTANT of a film

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Everything.

The Mutant Chronicles. It came from space??? It came to change man into mutants?.. A war followed and was just about won. The machine was buried in the earth so it could do no more harm and there it waits??to be discovered. The year is 2707 and four corporations rule the whole world and battle each other endlessly. The movie begins with trench warfare and even though set in the future it clearly depicts that war never changes no matter what the time period. The fighting is Gruesome, pointless and with lots of carnage and death. Poison gas bombs, huge artillery and hand to hand combat. The fighting is fierce and then the 'Machine 'is found. A portal opens and the mutants begin to escape, suddenly the soldiers and not fighting each other they're fighting for their lives. The mutants have only one objective to butcher anything ...
