I enjoyed the build-up to the match, and seeing how Manchester United did in the earlier rounds. It was also nice to get a replay of Arsenal's victories! Both teams struggled in some of the earlier matches, so that it wasn't just a procession of wins. Man U almost suffered a giant-killing! The music was appropriately dramatic.
The match itself wasn't fantastic, and I would have prefered ... ...Man U didn't win. Arsenal had few chances and never really managed to get together the passing game they are known for. Jens Lehmann was Arsenal's hero, with Freddie Ljungberg also making a clearance off the line. Maybe it would have been different and Arsenal would have been a bit more attacking if not for the injury to Thierry Henry, which meant he watched from the stands.

RAW is WAR. Raw Zone. WWE has tried to move their weekly #1 brand show RAW, along with the times, and Unforgiven 2005 was a RAW-exclusive brand PPV. Just recently I have been reviewing some WWE events although I can't find my copies of a lot of the 2006 PPV's at the moment, so I'm going to start working backwards through 2005. A year of not very much happening. Unforgiven is the annual September event. Headlined by John Cena defending his WWE Championship ... ...friends being the #1 wrestler. WWE tries to get away with it by calling Cena the 'most controversial champion of all time', but we all know that's not true. There are just being out there that don't like him one bit, whether it be because he's a part-time rapper or because they think he can't wrestle. I even read a rumour that WWE thinks people don't like Cena because he's goodlooking. On paper this looks like it could be a pretty good headline match, ...

...Survivor Series becomes the second WWE PPV to get the two event treatment. Survivor Series 2005 is a year on from the original Survivor Series I reviewed, but how badly will the reputation of an event with such a history be tarnished this November?
With so many wrestlers WWE now has a brand split where wrestlers either wrestle on RAW or SmackDown! and a feud between the two brands was brewing at this point, leading to a match between the two brands ... ...without going over time. When WWE sticks to tradition and puts matches like this out there they usually get good results, and whilst this isn't the best survival match in history it is the only one that the 2005 event had, and it wasn't awful - although I'm sure much more could be done with a feud between the brands. ...is also the best in WWE right now,brilliant! Great PPV debut. Finally, JBL vs Rey Mysterio had been building for weeks and JBL won the match with his clothesline.
