This is a review on another Hayao Miyazaki movie called Spirited Away, and as you might think my title of this review is a bit weird, but that is the original Japanese name to this film.
Story ***** The film starts off with a young girl called Chihiro and her family moving to their new house, and they end up driving to this off road area, thinking that they took a wrong turn or something. They notice their house and naturally assume they will be able to get to the house by taking the off road.
As Chihiro's father starts speeding down the off road and ends up having to do a sharp stop in-front of this tunnel. They go through the tunnel to see what's on the other side. The find that it is an abandoned theme park, well so they think.
Chihiro did not like this, as she just wanted to leave, but her parents wanted to explore more, so she had to tag along. Chihiro's father smells some food, and follows the scent to see a lot of cooked food, yet no one is around. So they start eating the food, and pay when the cook gets back. But Chihiro would not have any of
it, and would not eat the food. She wanders off to this bath house, and has a nosey around until this mysterious boy stops her. He says to her, 'you should not be here, hmm its nearly dark, get out of here… fast', and she starts to run back to her parents, and you start to see spirits appear around the place, and when she gets back to her parents they have been turned into pigs.
She starts heading back to the way she came through, and it's all been covered in water. She started to get really scared and started to turn invisible. The boy appears by Chihiro and tells her to eat this small thing in his hand. After she eats it, she turns back to normal, and the boy tells her that his name is Haku, and tells a little bit about this place. Now that Chihiro is stuck on this island and her parents have been turned into pigs… what is she going to do?
Well you will have to watch the film and find out!
That is the first part of the film, and the start up to the story, yet the film does get even better and even more imaginative then it has already gotten.

Brings a smile to your face watching this film, and is certainly worth watching this film.
Other ***** I found this an enjoyable film that I have watched many times since I purchased it; it is a film that you can watch more then once in the same weak. The film is done by the same person whom did Princess Mononoke. If you enjoyed Princess Mononoke, you will defiantly love this film.
The story of this film is awesome and completely original, nothing like this has been done before, but as fantasy films is Hayao Miyazaki's speciality, then there will be more hopefully to come soon.
There are many characters in this film, and they all have their part in the long run, and do great performances. Makes the film much better, and it is balanced between cheerful characters and dark and gloomy characters.
The Special effects are great in this film, how they captured both day and night of the film, makes you wander what more could have been done. A great film and awesome special effects.
The soundtrack to this film is very good, has the crazy orchestrated tunes like Princess Mononoke did, and sets the mood of the film, depending what is happening.
This film is great value, it is £8.99 at play.com which is really worth it, also it is 2 disc set, which makes it even more worth it. I really enjoyed this film, and it is another 5 star * * * * * film that I have reviewed. One of Miyazaki's best films.
Very good review, this film was my main introduction to anime and I loved it. Worth watching over and over.

Just one thing I thought you might have added was if you had watched it subtitled or dubbed. I found that the English version slightly altered the story and gave more away near the beginning than the dubbed version. But other than that minor detail, very good review :-)
