Advantages: distracts the children Disadvantages: not funny, humour very simple and mostly slapstick or toilet houmour.
I'm quite surprised to learn that some people atually like the animatedseries of Mr Bean, and find it just as entertaining, if not more appealing than the 'proper' Mr Bean.
When I refer to proper Mr Bean I am of course talking about Rowna Atkinson's smash hit comedy sitcom in the 90's which followed a dry and whimsical character make a complete mess of very simple everyday activities like a trip to the swimming pool, parking his car, or visiting the cinema.
Personally I love the original Mr Bean, although some detest his bumbling foolish nature, I find him entertaining on a unique scale. Maybe it's because a part of me feels sorry for him or that in some cercumstances it is really quite ingenuis how you can get make some of the simplest tasks a complete disaster.
However the animatedseries proved to be a complete let down ...
Advantages: Great regeneration Disadvantages: None really
When Christopher Eccleston left the role of Doctor Who, many were disappointed as he had sparked the new age of Doctor Who, and it seemed as if he was the answer to keeping the show going. Having watched the first series in a relatively short space of time (1 week!), I found myself very much intuned with Eccleston in the role, but Tennant is admirably capable of filling the shoes, in a completely different way. One of the biggest things about the various actors who have played the Doctor over the years is that they have all been so very different to each other, and this continues here with Tennant, as he embarks on the second of the modern series of Doctor Who.
The Episodes ...
Advantages: entertains the kids Disadvantages: not brilliant, not that funny, more cute than funny
I'm sure everyone will remember the hilarious sketch series done by Rown Atkinson as Mr Bean that took the nation by storm in the 80's and early 90's. However he must feel that his looks have faded and has decided to hide behind the newest comedy snippet programme for kids ' animated Mr Bean'. Really I don't mind, and i'm sure that other won't either how ugly Rowan has got, he is and always wil be, a comedy genius.
The introduction of a cartoon Mr Bean intrigued me and so bought the series on DVD. I wondered whether it really was rowan attikinson doing the voice of Mr Bean, and of course 'teddy', as it really doesn't sound like him at all and it wouldnt be surprising as the odd grunt and whimper can be done by anyone.
The basic and gody colours are also a let down. They make Mr Bean look tacky and very childish despite being modern ...
