Are you getting your 3 a week?

Advantages: Good for those pushed for time; mostly well instructed
Disadvantages: Cardio Box difficult to follow initially; not really challenging enough

...fat through the whole routine. Davina has two trainers, husband and wife team Jackie and Mark Wren, and this section is lead by Jackie with Mark and Davina following. I really like workouts that involve weights so this gets the thumbs up from me, although when compared to the Super Sculpt workout on her later Superbody DVD it’s not as challenging. Jackie’s instruction is nice and clear here and she explains how things should feel as well as what ...
...The Core Stability section Davina describes as “working your insides” and is a Pilates style workout with lots of floor work which really works your abdominals. I really like Pilates and find that although it’s not a typical ‘drench yourself in sweat’ workout, the results you get from it are really good and give you a much leaner, more toned figure. This is lead again by Jackie. Instruction For those who find Davina a bit annoying then this is ...

Empowering and fantastic!!

Advantages: DIfferent, interesting!
Disadvantages: Exhausting!! (thats probably a good thing though!)

I have tried many many workout videos! Each have eithered not pushed me enough or bored me after a while! These are different! The boxing element makes it more fun then other \'aerobic\' excerise dvds, and it continously challenges you to work harder! It definately improved my fitness as you are being pushed more and more. The workouts are short enough to fit in to your daily routine (which was very important to me!) i often use the excuse- "i ...
...these dvds you do, and i though half hour wouldnt be enough to actually achieve something, well i was very wrong!! It works you hard for that half hour and it can be fitted into your day easily, i highly recommend this boxset as i still continue doing it now, months after i bought it! Ive never done that with other workout dvds! Now i dont need to waste money on more and more workout/diet dvds that just collect dust!! Im saving money and losing weight! ...

Lose a stone every six weeks?

Advantages: A fun, easy to pick up workout, like the pilates section
Disadvantages: Bad camera angles, annoyingly perky trainer, doesn't push you that hard

...customer reviews, it seemed that Charlie Brooks' Before and After DVD came highly recommended and at £6.48 from amazon seemed well worth a try. I'm sure we all know Charlie Brooks as super bitch Janine Butcher from Eastenders. Not someone ever known for a super skinny figure, after having a baby she found it difficult to shift the excess weight. For this DVD, she's teamed up with Personal Trainer Dee Thresher (who also helped Eastender's Sonia to ...
...6 weeks. The photo's of Charlie before and after on the front cover are very inspirational - the after shot looks great! Ok, she has very bad posture in the first photo and it's not a flattering angle, but in both she looks like a normal person rather than a model which makes it feel really attainable to the average slightly overweight person. The workout takes place in a warehouse type building filled with all things hot pink and girly, and is split ...

Enjoyable workout in a beautiful location.

Advantages: Fun moves, beautiful scenery, good music
Disadvantages: not very hard, moves sometimes complex, commentary sometimes irritating

I've been doing this workout for about ten years, on and off, originally as part of school PE class, then I bought my own VHS copy and, most recently, DVD. It has certainly stood the test of time. The workout begins with a warmup session. During the main workout, aerobic sessions are alternated with muscle toning exercises for legs, bottom, arms and abs, and a cooldown follows. You will need handweights for the arm exercises. Normally I use two ...
...to hold both in one hand, so it's better if you do have proper weights. It is not a particularly tough workout, if you have a reasonable level of fitness you will have no problem completing the DVD, but still at the end feel like you have done something to improve your fitness levels and muscle tone. The exercises are fun and interesting, but I found that some of them, particularly the step sequences in the aerobic sequences, could be a little ...

Top Gear - Box Set

Advantages: Three DVDs full of motoring mayhem!
Disadvantages: Some sequences are shortened

This top gear boxset contains three seperate DVDs, Back in the fast lane (best of series 1 and 2), revved up (best of series 3 and 4), and The winter olympic special. I am a big fan of top gear and watch it every week, enjoying the humour and excitement that Clarkson, Hammond and May, bring to the world of cars. I have to say I prefer watching the more miscellaneos sequences (the races, challenges etc), to just watching one of the presenters thrash ...
...the first two series's of Top Gear. It is the most serious of the three DVDs, and puts such cars as the Pagani Zonda, Mcclaren F1, and the Rolls-Royce phantom to test. These mini reviews tend to be short and quite boring, as each is pretty much the same, with each car being driven round the test track as fast as it will go, whilst being dragged around corners in vast amounts of tyre smoke. Some of the highlights of the first disc include Jeremy ...
