I'm a goody two shoes student that wants to become a video games journalist and a writer when I'm older. My thanks to all those who have taken the time to rate and/or comment on my reviews: it really means a lot to me!

I've been a big fan of Sonic Underground ever since I began watching the show a year ago. Once Christmas came aorund I immediately put this box set onto my Christmas List (Yes I still make a list!) and hoped that my parents would get it. Luckily they did!
The show is about Sonic and his siblings Manic and Sonia, who are trying to fight Robotnik and find their mother. They work together and with other allies like Cyrus (The Head of Resistance), The Oracle of Delphius and Bartleby Montclear (a lackey of the villian), they attempt to destroy Robotnik!
This series is definetly a change from the previous two. The most notable addition is the introduction of Sonic's brother and sister. Sonia is a high society girl who has a boyfriend (Bartleby) and is very bossy. Manic is a city slum pickpocketer who helps steal things for the resistance.
Another addition is the inclusion of music videos into each episode. Most are kids pop music that alternate between enjoyable and nightmarish. Each hedgehog has a medallion which allows them to summon up their instruments to play music or to use as weapons. It's an interesting twist on the normal Sonic formula.
With 40 episodes on offer, there's certainly a lot of choice available. My favorite episode in this collection is 'Bartleby The Prisoner'. The reason? It's got a catchy song and an interesting plot. What more do you want?
A disappointing fact is that there are no special features at all on the DVDs. There aren't even subtitles. But if you want the Sonic Underground episodes then this is how to get them.
