...Flubber can be imaginative with its usage of the special effects, but the movie can also seem dull and uninvolving (perhaps it's because most of the settings in Flubber look murky). The pacing is leisurely and script tends resort to some tiresome slapstick throughout. Every once in a while, some interest and/or some energy can be generated but the special effects in certain areas serve more as an exhibition that really doesn't bare a connection with the story and feels like padding in the process. For example, there's a dance sequence involving the Flubber. Scenes on certain occasions feel stretched out and the movie at one point, throws in an absolutely manipulative thread into the story....

A sequel, Son of Flubber, followed, with a remake simply titled Flubber appearing in 1997and starring Robin Williams.~
The star of the movie is Fred MacMurray who plays a very forgetful college professor who creates a bouncy flying rubber which he calls "Flubber,"

Fred MacMurray is very funny in the starring role playing the forgetful eccentric who is engaged to his frustrated bride to be.
Typically there is the villain who's plotting to steal his Flubber and his bride to be!
The Professor uses the "Flubber" to make his old Model-T car fly all the way to Washington, DC, where it is mistaken for a UFO,
He also helps the college basketball team win the big game with Flubber flying sneakers.
Personaly I liked this version rather than the remake starring...

...It’s been out for a while now and so is probably sitting there collecting dust with the rest of your numerous videos. So let me remind you of the crazy professor whose house resembles a bachelors dream. l mean what more could you wish for than a home that is set to do everything for you so you can get on with your life. Thinking about it l wouldn’t mind too much myself.
Anyway back to the wonderful world of Flubber. This light-hearted comedy is suitable for the whole family as Robin Williams portrays an absent-minded professor who relies on a robot called weebo. So wrapped up in his world of inventions he constantly forgets things, which includes getting married to his girlfriend Sara. (Marcia Harden)
Weebo of course designed to be the professor’s reminder has a mind of her own and full of mischief uses...
