The Land Before Time DVD 1

Advantages: Great film, good for a cry, lovely characters & happy ending
Disadvantages: Littlefoots mother dies :'(

The Land Before Time is the ultimate Dinosaur equialent of Bambi. In that it's basic underllying theme is littlefoot becoming an orphan due to his mother being killed by a preadator. ( in this case by a 'sharp-tooth', in bambi's case, a human sports hunter ). This fantastic old skool animated film is work from Steven Spielberg, and was directed by Don Bluth, to produce a tear jerking classic film with a soundtrack composed by James Horner. Originally released in cinemas in 1988 (can you believe I was like only 3!) it quickly became a chart topper and became even more popular when it was eventually released on VHS. And now in 2006, we are graced with the DVD format, to enjoy the spacousness of a DVD cupboard. Which is great you can fit like 30 DVD's in the space of 10 VHS cases. BEYOND THE PROMISED LAND DVD

Advantages: Some decent parts and good extras
Disadvantages: Some not so decent parts

It was my Dads birthday a few weeks ago now and my auntie bought him a copy of the Manchester United official movie on DVD, it's been out quite a while now but we enjoyed watching it. Me and my dad being serious United fans, we sat down and watched it. We bought the copy of 'The Treble' on DVD too and were very impressed by that, but this is what we thought of 'Beyond The Promised Land'... The DVD is basically the behind-the-scenes story of Manchester Uniteds ups and downs of the previous 99/00 season. (That was 2 seasons ago now) The movie shows all the facts, filming and behind-the-scenes gossip which doesen't seem that appealing but is pretty good for what it's worth.
