inspired in part by Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and later became the basis for both the musical A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and Woody Allen's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S SEX COMEDY. The principal events take place at a turn-of-the-century manor house where Desire Armfeldt (Eva Dahlbeck), an actress, and her aging mother are giving a party. Two of the invited guests--Count Malcolm (Jarl Kulle) and Fredrik Egerman (Gunnar Bjrnstrand), a middle-aged lawyer--are romantically involved with Desire, a cause for murderous jealousy between the two. Meanwhile, Egerman's youthful wife, Anne (Ulla Jacobsson), who has thus far repulsed all sexual advances on her husband's part, is showing a considerable interest in her stepson (Bjrn Bjelvenstam)...During the course of the evening, various alliances are formed and dissolved, partners are switched, and all the guests take part in the resulting erotic escapades and intrigue--but in the end, everyone finds their true love. He has hankerings after a former mistress, the voluptuous actress Desiree, who is now mistress to the bellicose Count Malcolm, whose own wife attempts to seduce Fredrik in order to make Malcolm jealous. Fredrik's wife, meanwhile, hankers after her own stepson, an austere young man confused by his repressed sexual longings. This web of romantic intrigue is eventually disentangled at a weekend party held by Desiree's mother, a formidably acerbic, fairy godmother-style figure.Smiles of a Summer Nightis sparkling but mordant, stronger on absurdism than belly laughs and it is lent shade by the long shadows of existential angst. It conveys all of Bergman's core messages about human relationships but in a light, operatic bundle of cinematic joy.On the DVD:Presented in the original academy ratio, the film is restored here to its original, silvery glory. The bottle stands out being a golden shimmery colour reminding the consumer of summer. It is oval shaped and has the Garnier logo displayed on the front and the Summerbody title so that it is clear what the product is. It claims that it is a Moisturising Lotion for a sun kissed look but the wording is misleading. It says it gradually builds a natural looking sun kissed tan and that is it effective 12 hours moisturisation but I thought this looked like it meant it would work from 12 hours. The back has all questions and answers you may want to know such as, is it for me? How is it different? How does it work ...
Advantages: Some great title matches, surprising outcomes, and big names Disadvantages: Some of the first matches were a bit slow and at times not entertaining
when you see it happen, like when Hulk Hogan lifted and body slammed Andre the Giant. The match was one of endurance and strength, each man displaying their physical attributes. The momentum of the match swung each way with the two each getting their moments upon each other. Countless times you thought the match was over. It was a great match to watch and one that finished the night in great style. So..will Cena beat Triple H again to win the Title or can the King of Kings retain the belt and continue his reign since beating Randy Orton at Backlash for the belt??
