I had several people who for the past years have kept telling me 'You should watch Smallville...I bet you would love it'...I was very wary! I had seen parts of episodes on TV and just turned it off thinking it looked childish and silly.
In the past i have watched lots of box set series such as Friends, Prison Break and lost and loved them all. It got to the point where I thought 'what should I watch next?!' so I decided to give Smallville a try.
Childish and silly? How wrong was I?! I loved it, it's very addictive and once you start watching you won't want to turn it off! So many evenings I promised myself I would just watch one or two episodes...4 hours later I'm thinking...1 more episode wont hurt!
Smallville series 1 basically shows the story of Clark Kent arriving on earth with the event of the meteriod shower. The first series shows how the meteriod shower has effected the lives of Smallville residents and their stories, as well as Clark Kent developing his powers.
It is definately worth watching and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone, especially those who enjoy the supernatural.
The stories can be sometimes a little extreme and you will find with the odd episode you need to bear with it, as there are only a few episodes like this and you don't want to miss them incase it links to something later on. Be patient! It will be worth your while!
You will find yourself thinking 'Lana and Clark will blatently end up together' and thinking that certain things are very predictable...but will you be right?! And as for the cliffhanger at the end of the series....brilliant! You will be running out to the nearest HMV to buy series 2!
