When i first heard about this show i was slightly worried about what it was trying to achieve. I was very stereotypical and thought a show about terrorists would honestly bomb in rating and be slightly offensive. However, this was not the case at all. After i watched the pilot episode it made me want to watch the next one straight away. That was the great advantage of having the box set. No need to wait a week to see the next installment of the show! ...we got to know each character a little bit more and got an insight in the lives of each character. There is so many background stories going on in the program, this makes it the good success that it is. They have an excellent character for the main role and we can really put ourselves in the shoes of Darwyn.
As for the back stories, the relationships make it such a good success. It brings some hope into some of our love life's you ... more

The characterization was absolutely brilliant. Each episode we got to know each character a little bit more and got an insight in the lives of each character. There is so many background stories going on in the program, this makes it the good success that it is. They have an excellent character for the main role and we can really put ourselves in the shoes of Darwyn.
As for the back stories, the relationships make it such a good success. It brings some hope into some of our love life's you might say. Each episode that goes on we can see how more romantically attached the characters become.
The realism of the show is exceptional, from the special effects to the terror plots. All would be capable. One of the main factors of the show is the suspense. It makes us grab on to those pillows and really shout at the TV! Most importantly after the series is finished... It makes us want more!
The packaging of the box set is also very good. It has a clear description of what the shows about and the menus are very easy to navigate within the DVD's. I also feel the age restriction has been set just right as i feel it would be too much for someone younger to really relate to the characters.
Overall, i would suggest that you all buy this box set as it is one of the best TV series i have ever watched in the past years. If it hasn't won any awards yet i would be very surprised!

Advantages: Good acting performances, excellent plot. DVD boxset for good price. Disadvantages: Maybe too short.
I read a review about sleeper cell in a newspaper and they rated it better than 24. I on the other hand would not go that far. I did think that sleeper cell was gripping and tense but didn't have the twists and turns that 24 presents. Even though i say it isn't as good as 24, it is one of those dramas that has you reaching for the DVD remote to watch the next episode straight away. Sleeper cell follows the story of a muslim undercover FBI agent who ... ...the money at the price. Sleeper cell consists of 8 one hour episodes and a two hour series finale. Special features include commentaries, a documentary featurette "know your enemy" and a making of the series finale: a production diary. Well worth a punt at the price. I actually paid £21.99 off play.com but you can now get it for £13.99 from the same site. ...

DVD Description
