Advantages: Other bad films look good next to it! Disadvantages: The entire film!
Mr and Mrs Rockwell and their children, Tina and Matthew are on holiday when they are forced to stop because of a flat tyre. Mr Rockwell goes for help; finding a general store, he goes in to see if the owners can be of assistance. The little old lady behind the counter suggests that he brings his family in to wait while her son helps to fix the tyre. And so the Rockwells troop in and meet the rest of the family - a dwarf with a plate fetish, an elephant ... ...bear trap for a mouth. Yet still they don't realise they are in danger - until the oddballs start to kill them off one by one. But the elephant man has fallen for Tina and begs his family to keep her alive. Is he doing her a favour or not? And will she ever escape alive? You may have realised by reading the above that this film is pants. I wasn't expecting it to be brilliant - it only cost £1 from a bargain bucket - but even that hadn't prepared ...

Advantages: Humour at all levels to suit all ages. Great to watch over and over again. Disadvantages: Karaoke Swamp Party far too short.
..., but will on a PC with integral DVD player, one of which I don’t have, so I can’t tell you much, except that you can record your own voice on to any of the main or fairytale characters from the film, to play back your choice of 12 scenes.
The actors and actress who provided the voices, for the 4 main characters, were excellent choices. I cannot possibly imagine anyone else taking the roles, probably why it’s costing $5m a piece to secure them for Shrek 2! The character of Donkey is just sooo Eddie Murphy, picture the character Eddie Murphy plays in most of his earlier films and that’s Donkey!
Like many children’s films, there is a moral to the tale, expressing that beauty is far more than skindeep and to *never* judge a book (or DVD) by its cover. Shrek compares himself, in the film, to an onion, with several layers...

Advantages: Nice supporting actress Disadvantages: Dire Hilton
...tale wrapped in a comedy box. I smiled at a couple of scenes but never laughed, neither however did I feel that I needed to turn the movie off, many films I deemed so bad I could not stomach them to the end, I never felt personally offended by the movie, or frustrated by tedium. There is no real sex in the movie, no nudity, the language is fairly neutral, it's a harmless enough movie. What the movie does prove is something quite typical to the movies message, regardless of how much you might like something beauty is only skindeep and if you cannot bear to look at it, you slate it; this is certainly the case with imdb's brain dead voters.
The Hottie And The Nottie is due on DVD later on in the year, and being offered at many smaller cinemas as a matinee style reduced offering now. I'd not recommend buying the movie, but it might...

Advantages: Suspense is built fairly well at times, the film is strangely quite appealing and fun. Disadvantages: The acting is atrocious, the script is dreadful.
...a fun low budget horror film which provides for a reasonably entertaining 91 minutes of movie. I've seen better, then again I've also seen a lot worse and 'Sickle' certainly fairs far better than some of the low budget bilge I've viewed over the years.
One extra is provided with this DVD release and the extra received here is that of a trailer for the film 'SkinnedDeep'; another in this particular range of Boulevard Entertainment cheap option horror films. The trailer doesn't exactly leave you wanting to watch 'SkinnedDeep' and to be honest I was expecting the trailer to be one for 'Sickle'; it's not though and the one extra we do receive here is merely used to market another low budget horror movie in this series. I guess they think that if you like one low budget horror film then you're bound to want to watch others; I very much doubt...
