...Stars - Simply Red I wanna fall from the stars Simply Red have been around for a long long time now but I think their music is still relevant and great. I think they are one of those bands who have fans of all ages due to their easy listening, non offensive type music. Apparently, according to an article I read, Simply Red got their name because it was the lead singer's (Mick Hucknall's) nickname due to his red hair. I never knew this fact but it does make sense! It does always make me laugh though at how he has such good luck with the ladies. I mean, I know he's a big music star and probably has loads of money but he really is rather weird looking in my opinion but always seems to date gorgeous women! ...Simply Red- Stars... His best Album by far!!! I have owned this album for many years and I could never get bored of it... It is Mick and the gangs best album so far!!! Including such hits as Stars, something got me started and the beautiful ballad, For your babies, it combines a mixture of all the Red's incredible vocal and musical talents. Although first released in 1991... this album is as fresh and vibrant today as it was 17 years ago. For anybody wanting to buy a Simply red Album to enjoy at home or in the car, I would recommend stars as being your first choice. I would also recommend to those fans out there to see the group live in concert, because when they perfrom such songs as what is on this album live... nothing can beat it...... Read review

Advantages: The old Simply Red are back

...I must admit right from the very start that although I quite like SImply Red's songs there is something I just do not like about Mick Hucknall. Maybe it is his arrogance when ever he is on TV. However putting this to one side I have bought a few Simply Red albums over the years but the Love and the Russian Winter album was too much. The blandness of it made me swear never to buy one of their albums ever again. However the other week we were going on a family week-end to Whitby and my wife appeared with this CD and before I could protest it was in the car's player and we were off. At first I was ready to stick my fingers in my ears and hum a motorhead song but as the trip progressed I started to warm to the whole album and enjoyed it.
