Shrek 3 is apparently better than the previous two Shrek movies. I disagree and would say the first movie was better and that the characters have lost a bit of novelty however I would still say that this is an excellent family film.
The film follows on from the previous Shrek and starts with Shrek searching for a boy called Arthur because the King of Far Far Away has died and as Shrek is next in line but does not want to be King he tries to find Arty and convince him to be King as he is next in line after Shrek. In this film Prince Charming also tries to rule Far Far Away and Shrek has to think about becoming a father!
The characters and the actors are the same as the previous films and my favourite character has to be donkey as I find his voice hilarious! Shrek is played by Mike Myers, Fiona by Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy is Donkey and Puss in the Boots with many other funny characters including the Gingerbread Man, Pinocchio and the 3 Pigs.
This is a good addition to the series but I do wonder how long they can keep making new Shrek films as I am sure that the novelty and ideas must be running out! However this is still a funny film with the same great characters but I would say it is worse than the original. I think that this movie along with the other Shrek`s is best suited for kids but adults can enjoy them as well! The DVD is rated U so is suitable for everyone to watch and runs for roughly 90 minutes. I do wonder how long they can keep making these Shrek films and I think there is meant to be a Shrek 4 but I am not sure (maybe you can tell me in the comments : ) )
Overall this is a good Shrek film as is still funny with the same great characters but I think it is worse than the first one and children would enjoy it more than adults. If you have not seen the first Shrek I would recommend watching that first as that will probably mean this film will make more sense and that is also a better film all round!

Advantages: Puss in Boots steals the show, some flashes of good humor Disadvantages: Short film length, mediocre for most parts of the film, poor ending
