Well once again there has been a third film of an amazing original and i began to get that feeling of dread. Let's face it you get an awesome first film, a good but not as good as the first second, and then a terrible third. But nevertheless i decided to give this film a chance and i have to say it's not as bad as i thought it would be! It's not as good as the first two films but it's not as bad as most third films are. It's got that great shrek comedy throughout the film that's great for the whole family.
*The Plot* Shrek and Fiona are staying at the palace in Far Far Away to help out with Royal duties while the king is ill. But the king dies and Shrek is the first in line for the thrown. Not wanting to be king, Shrek goes searhing for the only other person in line for the thrown, Artie, to try and persuade him to become king. But Artie is a high school student who gets picked on by the geeks! And Shrek has also just found out he is going to be a father which he is not too keen on. Meanwhile Charming has gathered an army of villians to take over Far Far Away so they can have their happy ever after. They attack the palace and keep the women prisoners. Can the girls ditch their fairy tale princess ways and stop Charming? Will Shrek get other his fear of fatherhood? And can he convince Artie to be king? Or will the villains finally get their happy ever after?

*My thoughts* Not as good as the first two films but still good. The story was good and the characters were as good as before. I especially love donkey’s children (they are just so cute!). And once again you get to see loveable Puss in Boot do his cute face (I love it!) I also loved Justin Timberlake (Artie) whining and crying like a little baby (must have remember when he was punk’d to do that scene!).The film also had that shrek humour that we all love. I did enjoy Shrek’s attempt at knighting someone (never let him do it to you!) I was very impressed with the animation. The water is done really well. You can see right through it and it just looks so beautiful. It’s amazing how much animation has improved!
