I bought this film last christmas for my children last christmas as they had seen it at a friends house and really enjoed it. They enjoed watching this movie so much they kept watching it over and over again. Even now my children still love to watch this film, they just never seem to get bored with it. I liked the fact that all of the different fairy tale and nursery rhyme charachters where in this movie this in itself made the movie more humourus I also found the donkey quite funny due to the fact that it was voiced by Eddie murphey as he made the donkey so funny as he is real good when it comes to comedy he does know how to make films funny with his jokes.
PLOT ******* Shrek loses his swamp to the fairy tale people as they have lost their homes and Shrek himself has lost his deeds of the swamp to the evil lord Farquaad. Shrek must rescue the lovely princess Fiona for Lord Farquaad and return her to his palace for him so he can marry her and become king and in return for this he will get back his deeds to his beloved home the swamp. Shrek goes on his quest to the high tower to rescue princess Fiona and also destroy the dragon that is guarding the tower with his loudmouthed friend donkey. Shrek reaches the tower where he rescues princess Fiona whilst the donkey and the dragon fall in love with each other. Fiona hates that an ogre has rescued her as it was supposed to be prince charming who should have been her knight in shining armour not an ugly green ogre. On the quest back to the castle Shrek realises he is falling in love with princess Fiona but he still returns her to the palace and wins back his deeds to the swamp. Will shrek realise that he loves fiona and be able to win the woman who is truly in his heart or will she marry the evil lord Farquaad you will have to watch and see.
