K so I made the cardinal sin of watching a comedy when depressed, this usually ruins the whole film for me. But this had me cracking up within minutes. Excellent, no unreal animation makes the whole file seem completely real, great storyline if not a little tedious in places. Eddie Murphy once again steals the show as donkey. But Shrek and Fiona still good, strong characters. The new characters are such a breath of fresh air, puss in boots is one of the best characters I have seen in a long time, such ferocity in such a little creature has to be aplauded. Genius. However, one thing does annoy me, why was dragon not featured until towards the end. With such a pivotal role in the first film she would have been a great additon to the sequel. Other characters such as charming, were again, poorly acted and unconvincing. Jennifer Saunders plays the fairy god mother, a character I just could not believe and was too over acted. Oh, and John Cleese, the end credits should have said Basil Fawlty, because thats all I can see when looking at the king. But what really got me was Donkeys mutant babies. How cute are they!!! All in all a good film worth watching.

A good start but try and imagine nobody has seenor heard of the first film as in fact some people haven't and maybe add some more details of the characters and the plot. Was the music good? Did the voices suit the animations etc. Fionaxx
