I must admit, I've never been a huge fan of co-op - however that's changed recently.
Where I grew up there was always a co-op in the village. I only ever nipped up to the village for a magazine but very rarely for anything else. I viewed it as a 'cornershop' and with that image came the view that it was more expensive that your 'normal' supermarkets that you use for your big shop.

They include a lot of different sounds in their songs and I really think this adds depth. For example, some of the instruments they play include the tin whistle, violin, drums, guitar and keyboard. I think it also helps ...
Advantages: convenient location, servicing local needs, promotions Disadvantages: limited variety/stock, very limited parking
There?s a quiet revolution taking place in our neighbourhood and the outcome would seem to be set fair for the consumer. Over the past few months several small stores that used to have the appearance of slightly run-down cornershops have been given a facelift and now proudly sport the Costcutter logo. Now it must be said that we are not at the forefront of this revolution. Already some 1200 Costcutter stores have been established nationwide by this company, and its growth since its inception in 1986 has not gone unnoticed. But in our neighbourhood, it?s new.
One thing all Costcutter stores have in common is that they are small. They range from 500 to 5000 square feet in size. They cannot hold large stocks of things and so choice is limited, but if what I understand is correct, individual storekeepers are free to determine what ...
