...The Corrs - Talk on Corners The Corrs are a band who hail from Ireland. They are made up of four siblings, Jim and his three sisters, Andrea, Sharon and Caroline. I think they have a really unique sound with beautiful beautiful voices. I would describe their music and folk based with lots of meaningful lyrics. They also have quite an Irish based sound as well, on a lot of their songs there is a background Irish rythm which is what I think makes them quite a different type of mainstream band. What I also love about them is that they all can actually play instruments and to me that is a sing of a true musician and band. They include a lot of different sounds in their songs and I really think this adds depth. For example, some of the instruments they play include the tin whistle, violin, drums, guitar and keyboard. Over the past few months several small stores that used to have the appearance of slightly run-down corner shops have been given a facelift and now proudly sport the Costcutter logo. Now it must be said that we are not at the forefront of this revolution. Already some 1200 Costcutter stores have been established nationwide by this company, and its growth since its inception in 1986 has not gone unnoticed. But in our neighbourhood, it?s new. One thing all Costcutter stores have in common is that they are small. They range from 500 to 5000 square feet in size. Advantages: Amazing story telling and performances

...After spending the best part of 2 months working my way through the masterpiece of television that is ?The Wire? I was left with a massive hole in my television viewing schedule. After the intensity and the quality of the story telling I?d recently become accustom to I knew I couldn't follow it up with just any show, it would have to be something clever, something hard hitting, and more importantly something good. With so many recommendations being given to me from friends and family alike I was struggling to pick something until one night I was sat at home watching a Family Guy repeat on FX when during the adverts a trailer for a soon to debut in the UK show caught my eye.
