This programme was on bbc one on cbbc about 4pm... my children started watching it, only because it was on during tea time.. after the first two episodes they were saying.. when is it on again.. an while ill one day, i decided to sit with them and watch it. i was quiet suprised. i was exciting, funny in some bits, and sets the imagination running wild.
Mainly its about a little girl aged 11, who has moved from abroad to the uk, and has come across a little shop and eventually recives a small shoebox, containing some little wodden animals. After playng with them for a while she awakes them, for them to tell her that she is the chosen one.. which scares her to say the least. as the programme goes on she and the little wodden live animals go on lots of adventures, trying to find a lost book that needs to be found.
Along the way she meets new friends and enemies, wizards and witch doctor type people, and has to learn for herself who she can trust and how to find this book that is her quest.
it really is a good programme so i have recently bought the box set not only for the kids, but for me too. So i can catch up on the bits i may have missed.. the music is great and the story line is even better...
i can wait for them to televise the next part of the series then i will be glued again.. me and the kids are expecting it to be even better than the first..
My daughter has already asked me to see if it is in book form for her to read, as she really got in to it as well so thats one birthday gift sorted out..... He he...
over all its worth watching and suits most ages, would be a bit difficult for really young kids to follow but great any how...
thanks for reading... xxx

I'm glad this is out on DVD so I can catch up. I only managed to watch a few here and there (depending on whether I get homr from work in time). This is good news!
