Well I have got to say that this box set is well worth a shot at. I am not a mad keen Holmes fan, but my husband is. I bought him this box set for his birthday and he was well chuffed. The set cost me £60 from a shop in Huddersfield There are nine discs and there are about 5 stories on each disc so that is 45 stories. Enough to keep anybody busy.
The stories dont follow on from each other so you dont have to watch them in succession. Each story last about 1 hour but the very last one is a special and lasts an hour and half.
The time period is set when the men were gentlemen and the ladies wore big dresses. This set is a must have for the avid Sherlock Holmes fan.

Hiya. I take it these are the Jeremy Brett series? You clearly enjoy them (as did I when they were on telly) - but you've said pretty much nothing about the box set, the acting, the series...just the dresses and wardrobe, really. Please do let me know if you add to this - and if you have any questions, please do give me a shout in my Guest Book.
Cheers, Kate

Hi, I'm an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes, so don't need any introduction. But, other people might need a little of an introduction to his stories. And some info on other features of the dvd boxset would be useful. Becks
